Tomorrow is the BIG day.

Tomorrow is the BIG day.  Well, actually... the mini-sale day for our group.  We are having a clearing out and making room for more creations.  The items are ready, the Prairie Pickers are ready, and hopefully the weather will be ready!  Our sale will be from 9 to 6 tomorrow, Saturday April 28th, 2012.  Come out to see us and maybe do a little shopping for Mother's Day.

We will be located at the same location:
9607 Fairby Dr.
Gretna, NE.

East from 204th and Cornhusker.

We will be raffling off a small basket of a sampling of our goodies!
Who doesn't want a a chance at a freebie?

Come by and say "Hello" to the ladies: TWICENICE, THE RUFFLED PEONY, SROBINSNEST, AND THE PRAIRIE PIXIE.

Another Day on the Hunt!

A wonderful morning and lunch with my partner in crime, Deb of Twicenice.blogspot.com  We hit a garage sale, thrift stores, and a few Goodwills.  Deb found many a treasure, and I found but a few.  But,  they are good treasures.  Wood, wood, and more wood.  I can't seem to pass up a lazy susan or some wooden fruit to upcycle.  I found this AWESOME small table.  I am just itching to get it painted and ready for sale.  My Mom has been quite a God-send, putting initial coats of paint on items and waxing her little heart out!   She works for chocolate shakes which are totally in my budget!  I am off to work on some treasures!  Oh, Happy Day!

Long Time, No Hear... But, now I am back!

4 of the 5 of us!

Hello out there in BLOGLAND!  After much bally-hoo, I am back.  We had an incredible show in October and met many wonderful people.
Our show was quite successful, and we learned many things within its process:
 1) What a great bunch of ladies!

   2) Our customers are FABULOUS!

   3)  We couldn't have done it without our wonderful husbands!
Thank Goodness for Super Smart Spouses!
Now to the serious stuff:
As you may notice, I haven't been on here since October.  Well, there is an explanation for that...LIFE!
All the uncertainty of unplanned things dropping in your lap and effecting everything around you.
The fall and winter have not been very kind to this ol' girl.  However, with much prayer, and prayers from everyone, family and friends... I have made it through a most difficult season!  To sum up:  My oldest son got married (with only a 5 day notice) to his high school sweetheart while home on leave.  MRI's, CTscans, 2 surgeries, my youngest having a major seizure, bronchittis, infections, confinement to bed, pain, and the uncertainty of more surgeries.  PHEW!  Isn't that enough?  So... I was on major bed rest, but it wasn't the "Oh, I am bored what shall I do?" kind, it was the "I am in so much pain... I can't even move!" kind.
Son and Daughter in Law

Did I mention that it was also FOOTBALL
SEASON!  Okay, that is big in our home!
Cheering for his brother!
We play football, watch football, practice
football, eat, sleep, and breath football.
We love FOOTBALL!

As I was finally returning to some sense of normalcy... My AWESOME friend DEB (twicenice.blogspot.com), brought me over a chair she found that needed a little TLC.  Once I was able to finally be up and about... It served as my Rehab Chair.  Getting me back in the swing of things!  She really knew what this girl needed!
I'll post some transition photos soon!

Some pedestal bowls that I did for our house

So with all that said... I am still praying for health, knowledge, and patience!

PS.  Thanks Deb, twicenice@blogspot.com for kicking my butt in gear!

12 hours and counting!

Can I just say... 12 MORE HOURS until our opening!  We are all just excited and on pins and needles.  We must first try NOT to shop from one another's treasures.  This is very difficult!  Everyone has such fabulous things!  Here is just a sample:

Don't forget to join us Tomorrow October 14 and Saturday October 15th @ 9607 Fairby Dr.  Gretna, Nebraska ( just east of 204th and Cornhusker) ! The first ever ~ Prairie Pickers and Peddlers Market!   Trust me... The pictures do not do the treasures justice.  The treasures await.

More photos on Kathleen's Blog!

I know... I just posted... but, check out the cool photos on Kathleen's blog: karymade.blogspot.com
They are just awesome!  Thank goodness Kathleen didn't forget her camera!  While you are checking out the cool photos, pay close attention to her dolls.  Rug hooked faced and lovingly handmade wardrobes!  I am sure I will be snapping up one of these lovelies myself.  Thanks Kathleen! More photos on Kathleen's blog!

36 hours until the show!

Can it really be only 36  hours until we open for our first show?  It is almost here.  Of course something had to be forgotten... and what would that be?  My camera, of course.  However, Deb of Twice Nice has so thoughtfully posted some great photos on her sight.  You can get a glimpse of what we have to offer.  I will try to get over there tomorrow and snap a few photos as we have filled the place up!  Deb so generously offered up her home for the first show and we have filled every space possible.  There has to be at least 500 items up for sale this Friday and Saturday!  I am so very excited and hope that everyone who comes out enjoys the outing and takes a treasure or two home with them.  Check back in the next 24 hours for more photos!  Check out Deb's Blog for great photos @ twicenice.blogspot.com

Work Work Work

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it is off to work we go!  Okay, except for the fact that I am not leaving the house to do the work. The "work" is here!   I have my Mother working, my Mother-in-Law working, my Husband working, and my Father-in-Law working.  The only people not working are the children.  How does that work?  I know... part of the definition of childhood includes PLAY!  But, I wanna play too!  I am whining... a bit.   Even though I am crazy busy and life keeps running at me at lightening speed  ~  I am having the time of my life!  Here are a few more photos to share:

I am currently in a Jewelry and Hair accessory race.  Attempting to create some beautiful pieces that are just a "must have"!  I will post some of those photos in the next day or two...

So... while all of this creating has been going on... Life has also been flying by as usual at this home.  In the middle of trying to prepare for the inaugural PRAIRIE PICKERS AND PEDDLERS MARKET on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15... I have flown to Georgia for my oldest son's graduation from Army Basic Training. We just couldn't be prouder!

We have done numerous college tours for our daughter and "POP" here comes Homecoming!  Now, Homecoming is always a big deal... but, in your senior year it just may be one of the biggest deals!  So, during all of this chaos we also readied our "Girl" for her last high school Homecoming. We just love these goofy shots!  These are so her!  So I am off to paint, and shop, and create, and revamp, and restructure, and maintain this household.  I hope I can stay awake!  Hello COFFEE!
